Benton REA recognizes that quality, reliable electric service is essential to the success of any business or industry. Equally important is a positive business climate, which invites companies to become a part of our dynamic community. Benton REA takes an active role in economic development for the communities we serve as it is central to our internal business strategies as well as our core goals as a cooperative:

Benton REA's Bylaw 3.01.2: Economic Development - The Board of Trustees is empowered to promote economic development of the general areas in or near to which the Association serves
The 7th Cooperative Principal: Concern for Community - Cooperatives work for the sustainable development of their communities through policies supported by the membership

Benton REA and its community partners have successfully brought new businesses and industries to our area and assisted existing businesses as they improved their operations. Benton REA has various programs to help spur desirable economic development, such as a Revolving Loan Fund and commercial energy efficiency incentives and rebates.
