Trustee-Mark Platt

Mark brings a strong utility background to the Benton REA board. After serving as a nuclear trained machinist's first mate in the U.S. Submarine Service, Mark was employed as a commercial nuclear power plant operator and subsequently in a variety of consulting, technical service, and management positions in the commercial and Department of Energy nuclear industries. Mark, who has a B.A. degree in Social Science and a Masters degree in Business Administration, currently works at Bechtel National, Inc. as an Engineering Supervisor on the River Protection Project - Waste Treatment Plant at Hanford. Mark lives near Red Mountain in Benton City with his wife Ellen. They have one son, Andrew, who lives in Portland. In his spare time, Mark enjoys running, golf, sport shooting, reading and investing.
