Trustee-Fred Guyer-Secretary/Treasurer

Mr. Guyer was born in Friona, Texas and moved frequently throughout his youth. His family settled in Cheney where Fred attended Junior and Senior High School. He attended Eastern Washington College before being called to active duty in the U.S. Navy. He returned to attend Washington State University where he graduated, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering specializing in Electronics. Fred is retired after working 41 years in the field of engineering. He and his wife, Alice, have eight children. Mr. Guyer was elected to the Benton REA Board in 1987, and has held several positions including President, Vice President and Secretary of the Board. Fred is a Parliamentarian and a member of the National Association of Parliamentarians and he teaches parliamentary procedures to different organizations. Fred enjoys working on computers at home and has continued his education through this medium.
