I cannot think of a better utility structure to deliver electricity to consumers than that of an Electric Cooperative. While other utilities claim to be consumer owned, only Electric Cooperatives truly are. Since every consumer/member is an owner of the Electric Cooperative, communication about the utility and issues that affect the consumer/member are extremely important. In order for Benton REA to operate effectively, its member/owners must be informed of issues or events that could affect the service that they receive from the cooperative. The board and management place a high priority on maintaining continuous communication with the member-owners of Benton REA. As your manager, I am committed to keeping you informed of important issues regarding your electric cooperative. For this reason, each month I write a Manager's Message on the back page of the Ruralite Magazine, which is mailed to every member-owner of Benton REA. I hope that you will take time to read the Manager's Message.
