HPWHs are much more energy-efficient than traditional electric or gas water heaters. They work by transferring heat from the air (or ground, in some systems) to heat the water, rather than generating heat directly. This method can be up to 3 times more efficient than conventional electric water heaters. Benton REA offers members rebates from $1000 to $1200 depending on which qualifying model is purchased.
