Discontinue/Transfer Service

Discontinue Service
If you are moving to a residence that does not receive electricity from Benton REA, contact Benton REA at least one day prior to the last day you want electrical service from Benton REA. Provide Benton REA with the address you want your final bill sent to and Benton REA will schedule a final read of your electric meter and will send you your final bill.

Transfer Service
If you are moving to a residence that is also served by Benton or want to add another Benton REA account in your name, contact a Benton REA representative who will get the necessary information to do so such as the date you want to new service in your name. Note, all existing Benton REA accounts must be current (no past due balances) prior to a new service being put in your name.
