Conservation Classes

Your best path to lowering your energy bill is information and education.

Throughout the year, Benton REA hosts classes at our local offices discussing the various ways members can lower their electricity consumption and their power bills. Each pre-registered member receives an energy use graph depicting their last three years’ consumption history.

The topics covered in the class include efficiency rebates and tax credits and various ways a member can increase their homes energy efficiency. The classroom setting is a good opportunity for members to learn about general conservation, but also provides members a chance to ask specific questions about their unique situations. Classes are advertised in the Ruralite magazine and in your member newsletter included with your monthly bill.

The next free, residential conservation class for members will be held:

Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018 – Taught in English at the Benton REA West Richland Office Community Room (6095 W. Van Giesen Street).

Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018 – Taught in Spanish at the Benton REA Prosser Office (402 7th Street)

Both classes will be held at 6 p.m.

If you are interested in attending a future class, please RSVP to reserve your seat.  Email Eric Miller or call 509-786-8265, toll free 800-221-6987. For Spanish, call 509-786-2913.
