Benton REA is excited to welcome members into the new West Richland Complex.
Located at 2121 Cooperative Way, the new 40,000-square-foot facility will serve as the cooperative’s corporate headquarters and operations center, bringing together administrative offices, member services, operations staff and line crews under one roof.
The new complex was designed to better serve Benton REA’s growing membership. With nearly 73% of members living in or near the West Richland area and most field operations occurring nearby, the centralized location will help improve coordination, efficiency and service to members. “This new facility represents an investment in our members and the future of the communities we serve,” said CEO Ryan Redmond. “As our region continues to grow, this complex allows us to operate more efficiently and continue providing the reliable, affordable service our members expect.”
The facility houses Member Experience, Engineering, Energy Efficiency, Accounting, Human Resources, Meter Shop operations, Warehouse services and line crews. Members will also enjoy a welcoming lobby and private meeting spaces designed to enhance service and support.
While the West Richland Complex becomes Benton REA’s primary administrative and operations center, the cooperative will continue serving members from it’s Prosser field office.
Built for under $20 million, the project reflects Benton REA’s long-term commitment to responsible planning, operational efficiency and community investment. The facility also includes a community room that can accommodate up to 190 people and is available for nonprofit and community-focused organizations to reserve for meetings and events.
